I love January but not because it's my birthday but because we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. Then quickly followed by celebrating Black Excellence. The beautiful thing about social media is we celebrate #blackexcellence every day in every way. Whether its responding to a #buyblack post or acknowledging the beautiful melanin that dawns gorgeous skin, we celebrate our Blackness daily. As we prepare to celebrate our king, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I encourage you to spend time reflecting on the progress we've made but how far we have to go. This journey of disrupting systemic racism and fighting the nonstop injustices to people of color from underrepresented communities around the world is far from over. Stay inspired.
