Making a conscious effort to be happy because you are grateful for every moment to grow and learn as a spiritual being can feel difficult but the happiest people often have a spirit of gratitude. This feeling is universal and resonates with everyone around the world.

In our society, we tend to put so much effort in trying to obtain more. We always want more success, material things, money, power and position. But these items are what we consider “success” because we believe that when we have them, the quest to achieve happiness is done. Gratitude is the best attitude because it allows you to celebrate life. Instead of feeling unfulfilled, you can let gratitude fuel your sense of optimism. You will realize that you are filled with blessings and deserves more —in your personal life, your work life, even love. Did you know that having a spirit of gratitude can change your life? Check out this TED Talk by David Steindl-Rast. “Opportunity is the gift within every gift, and every moment is a new gift, over and over again. Moment by moment, we can be grateful for this gift.”
